METHODOLOGY
To remain successful in the automotive manufacturing industry, each extruded component project needs to be planned effectively with the most suitable method of die design and fabrication techniques; the creation of tooling is paramount for maintaining zero defects within the production process. Within this development, we link closely with the Design for Manufacture (DFM) stage; the part manufacturing datum and part inspection strategies must be carefully aligned, along with the tolerancing requirements to ensure tooling will guarantee product conformance to customer drawing or CAD Part Manufacturing Information (PMI) data specifications.

Toolmaking
Our experienced engineering team work quickly and concisely to produce fixture items in-house as needed, including small-batch production work leading to serial volumes. We also work with our extended local (UAE-based) and global network of toolmakers to supply us with tool items for CNC milling workpiece holding, CMT robot welding, extrusion profile bending, punching/press tooling, vision system and assembly fixtures. All of these items have design input from our programming and design engineers. Important for a suitable tooling concept is the consideration of datum strategy, clamping methods, access and ergonomics for the machine operators with a focus on Health and Safety at all times.
